Managua: 4-Hour Guided Historical Walking Tour

La Loma de Tiscapa is a historical site in the city of Managua. In addition to being the highest hill in the city, and surrounded by strange tales of a mystical giant snake, it has a huge statue in honor of the late Augusto César Sandino. This then begs the following questions⁉️🤨  


What's on the city's highest hill? what is the legend about? Why does it feature a sculpture in tribute to the late Augusto Cesar Sandino? These questions will be answered in the video.

Esteem all the beauties Managua has to offer on this 4-hour guided city highlights tour. From the lively city center to the breathtaking views from the Tiscapa Lagoon, discover the history behind every turn. 


Start your walking adventure at Plaza de la Revolución and marvel at the iconic cathedral of Managua, the neoclassical architecture of the Palace of Culture, Central Park, and the Amazing Ruben Dario theater.  Learn about the interesting history that led to the construction of the cathedral, the Cultural Palace, and the literary influence of Rubén Darío.


Head towards Paseo Xolotlán to see the mockup of the principal buildings that were destroyed during the 1972 earthquake.  From here we will walk toward Puerto Salvador Allende to enjoy the view of the lakeshore.  


Then, arrive at the Tiscapa Lagoon to enjoy the beautiful stunning sunset.
